Displacedranger
-Not well known at first
-Rocketeer reviews "CastleZone: The Dark Ruler"
-Rocketeer explains how well he makes platformers in his review
-"smaller" and "less recognized" platformer of his, The Secrets of Sky City
-Not very well known, but is slowly making a name for himself by creating some of the most imaginative and well designed platformers on Sploder.
-Disappears for months at a time, but when he comes back, continues to make outstanding plats.
First Thoughts
-I decided to check out some of his other plats because CZ impressed me
-Not very intriguing thumbnail (Game showcases a pile of rocks and a wizard)
-CZ did not have the most eye-catching backround either, but the game itself astounded me. I thought this game would do the same.
-Entering the game, not impressive. But when you go right, displacedrangers talents he showed in CZ begin to reveal itself in this game as well.
-Game difficulty is 9, but isnt hard
Background
-The background and level design was amazing
-Goes all out with scenery
-You feel like you're really in Sky City when you play this
-Villagers welcome you to different parts of sky city, such as the sky bar and the Will Hotel.
Accessibility
-Ease of Access around the Sky City, by traversing in ladders and waterfalls.
-Level 2 has a couple of jumps that are hard to reach, but still managable.
Creativity/Originality
-Very original ideas that I have not yet seen in Sploder platformer games, such as using the waterfall for transformation
Errors/Bad Things
-Small Game (Demo, though) Mention how with displacedranger never on, full game most likely wont come out.
-Story has many holes. You are going into the caves to find Vince Van Vermen, the Sky Bar owner. Only One man (The General) seems to mention him, and he mispells his name (Mispelling his last name as Verman) When the sign for the sky bar says Vermen.
-Center Caves (Level 2) is supposed to connect the beginning of Sky City to the other side, but the cave is extremely small.
-In level 3, if you hop over the cave, there is nothing on the other side. With the cave being so small, there should be the whole city on the other side, or at least rubble (The city has been destroyed while you were in the caves)
Gameplay
-Not a lot of gameplay or excitement. Only the second level offers a battle, and it's a small one in a rather small cave area.
